Merchant Trust & Bonded Sellers

The merchant assurance framework for verified commercial sellers, accountability and transaction history.

Verified merchant status

Commercial sellers may be required to complete identity or business verification before accessing higher-volume marketplace features. Verification confirms the information reviewed by Gadget Trade; it is not an unconditional guarantee of every future transaction.

Merchant accountability

  • Maintain accurate business and contact information.
  • List genuine products with accurate condition and ownership information.
  • Keep stock and pricing current.
  • Respond to legitimate transaction issues through the platform.
  • Cooperate with authenticity, delivery and dispute investigations.

Security bonds

Where a merchant security-bond programme is active for an eligible seller, the seller’s account records the bond status, amount, provider reference and hold or release timestamps. A bond is a contractual security arrangement; it is not the same thing as ordinary seller earnings or a customer payment.

Dispute-based enforcement

A merchant bond may only be used according to the applicable merchant agreement and verified enforcement decision. Gadget Trade should not describe a seller as bonded or imply compensation is available from a bond when the seller is not enrolled in an active bond programme.

Merchant history

Trust decisions can consider verification status, listing accuracy, fulfilment records, dispute outcomes and other lawful marketplace signals. Historical records should be handled consistently with the Privacy Policy and applicable data-retention requirements.
