01What Nova is

Nova is Gadget Trade’s AI assistant for gadget discovery, marketplace questions, research and supported seller workflows. Nova is designed to turn a normal question into a useful next step rather than simply return a block of generated text.

Nova is an assistant, not a replacement for the authoritative marketplace record, a payment provider, a seller’s evidence or your own judgement.

• Research current public information when a question depends on recent information.
• Explain marketplace listings and relevant pricing context when the feature provides that context.
• Help sellers with listing ideas, pricing guidance and supported campaign workflows.

• Work with supported visual inputs where the relevant capability and plan allow it.

03Where Nova appears

Nova can appear in the main AI experience and in selected Gadget Trade surfaces such as product intelligence, selling and Campaign Studio. These contextual integrations are intended to keep the assistant focused on the task in front of you.

Opening the Nova chat is only one way to use Nova. The information pages in this section are separate public documentation pages and do not open the chat.

04How Nova produces an answer

Depending on the task, Gadget Trade can provide Nova with relevant marketplace context, conversation context and other information needed to answer the request. OpenAI provides the AI reasoning layer used by the production assistant.

For eligible current-information questions, Nova can also use managed web research and return source links. The exact tools available can vary by feature, request and plan.

05Marketplace information and trust

Nova is designed to distinguish Gadget Trade records from general information. It should not invent a seller, listing, price, stock figure, transaction status or other marketplace fact when the relevant record is unavailable.

A generated answer can still be wrong. For important transaction decisions, inspect the actual listing, account record, payment status or other authoritative source instead of treating Nova’s response as proof.

06Current research

When freshness matters, Nova may use public-web research to investigate current specifications, recent releases, public pricing, availability or other time-sensitive information. Research results can include source links so users can inspect the underlying public information.

Public information can change or conflict. Nova Research is therefore designed as decision support, not as a guarantee that every source or conclusion is correct.

07Important limitations

• Nova can make mistakes, misunderstand a question or rely on incomplete information.
• Price guidance is not a valuation, authenticity certificate or guarantee that a gadget will sell at a particular price.
• Nova cannot guarantee that a seller is trustworthy, a product is authentic, a payment will settle or a transaction is safe.
• Do not use Nova as a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or security advice.
• Never provide passwords, PINs, one-time passwords, card security codes or other authentication secrets to Nova.

08How to get better results

• Name the exact gadget, model or task when you know it.
• Tell Nova whether you want a quick answer, comparison, current research or step-by-step guidance.
• Include relevant constraints such as budget, storage, condition, location or intended use.
• Ask a follow-up question when you need to narrow the result.
• For important current information, open the provided sources and verify before acting.
